Brief

South Bay Civils commenced a significant project at Kemsley, undertaking essential reinforcement works to the sea wall. With the project set to run until next summer, maintaining safe and efficient site operations is critical. FGS Plant was selected to support the programme with reliable plant equipment and lighting solutions.

Challenge

The nature of the works required continuous, dependable illumination and robust machinery capable of operating in challenging coastal conditions. Maintaining safe working conditions during early starts, late finishes, and periods of poor visibility was a key priority. In addition, the customer needed high-performing equipment with minimal downtime to keep the project moving to schedule.

Solution

FGS Plant delivered a comprehensive package of plant, lighting, and on-site support to ensure the project could progress safely and efficiently. This included:

• Tower lights, providing essential illumination across the site to ensure safe working conditions during early mornings, evenings, and low-visibility weather.
• Three large excavators, delivering the power and precision required for reinforcement works across the sea wall.
• 9-tonne dumpers, enabling the efficient and reliable transportation of materials across the site.
